playground, shaded by our special trees and complimented by our
flowering sensory garden, was a very comfortable and fun filled place to
be. We spent more time outdoors playing with water, sand and in
the grass. All our outdoor riding toys were sparking clean thanks
to our ongoing car washes. Everyone enjoyed chasing rolling balls
and butterflies at the end of the summer session. We want to thank
all of our wonderful student volunteers for all their help with special
projects, groups and fun events this summer. We wish them well as
they settle back into school this fall.
Our annual Trot for Tots
was a great success. We had more runners and walkers
than ever before, and we met our fundraising goals. We will continue to
schedule the
event at the earlier time in the fall to take advantage of the nicer
weather. The Trot
will continue to be a formal 5 K Run as well as a Walk, costume parade and
family cookout. Please plan to join us
again next year.
We have welcomed some new staff in Early Intervention, our Day School and a new Manager of Development. All our programs are continuing to enroll new children, and we have some openings in our Day School. If you know of any families who may be new to the area or need our services and expertise, please encourage them to call, and we will try to help them. We are always happy to give tours and answer questions.
Our December Holiday Party, held at West Parish Church, was well attended and fun. There were several high school volunteers who helped the children with the activities and the “sing along” portion of the morning.
The Day School children had a fun-packed Pajama Jam on December 22nd. They entertained our family and friends with holiday music and instrument playing. Thank you to the Chase family for donating "elf" hats for each of the children, to the family and friends who attended, our Day School staff and our Music Therapist, Suzanne Denu for working with the children and for making this event possible.
Please save the date for our Swing into Spring Gala. We will be holding the event at te Andover Country Club on Friday, April 27, 2012. It will be a nice way to welcome the Spring Season and reconnect with friends and families. Please stay tuned for future announcements
