NORTHEAST REGIONAL CONSULTATION PROGRAM (RCP)
There are six Regional Consultation Programs (RCPs) located throughout Massachusetts. The RCPs are a collaboration between the Department of Public Health, (DPH), the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Northeast RCP serves Northeastern Massachusetts and provides:
FOR CHILDREN ENROLLED IN EARLY INTERVENTION (AGES BIRTH TO 3) WITH SPECIAL HEALTHCARE NEEDS
- Resources and referrals, especially at the initial visit and as the family prepares for transition from Early Intervention
- Assistive technology lending library (equipment to help children sit, stand, safely take a bath, walk, communicate and play)
- Parent networking events
- Family Fun events
- Trainings
- Respite funds when available

FOR CHILDREN IN PUBLIC PRESCHOOL ON AN INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLAN, WITH ANY TYPE OF CHALLENGE
- Support for a successful transition to preschool
- Resources and referrals
